Wood-Fired Italian Crafted for Cary

Scratch-made pastas, Neapolitan pizzas, and local NC ingredients at Fenton's most celebrated table.

About Us

Colletta at Fenton earns its 4.3-star reputation the old-fashioned way: through food that actually tastes like someone cared. The kitchen runs on wood-fired cooking and scratch-made pastas built from local North Carolina ingredients, so what lands on your table reflects both the Italian tradition and the Carolina soil it came from. Part of The Indigo Road hospitality group, this is a restaurant that thinks seriously about craft without taking itself too seriously at the table.

The dining room at 1 Fenton Main St sits inside one of the Triangle's most walkable mixed-use neighborhoods, making it equally suited for a Tuesday lunch between meetings or a Saturday dinner that stretches into a second round of wine. Guests consistently call out the thin-crust Neapolitan pizzas and the attentive, unhurried service as the two things that bring them back. The Aperitivo Hour sets the tone early: arrive, settle in, and let the evening build.

For groups with something to celebrate, the family-style 'For the Table' format turns a meal into an event. Birthdays, anniversaries, work dinners, and first dates all land well here because the space and the menu flex to meet the moment.

What We Offer

Colletta runs continuous service Monday through Sunday, covering lunch, dinner, and brunch service without the usual midday gap. Walk in or book a reservation online, and if your group is larger, private and large-group dining options are available to make planning easier.

The bar program is a full destination on its own. The Bitter Italian cocktail draws repeat orders, the wine list is curated to complement the Italian-leaning menu, and Aperitivo Hour gives early arrivals a reason to come before the dinner rush. Online ordering, gift cards, and a family-style 'For the Table' option round out the ways Colletta meets guests wherever they are in the evening.

Hours run Monday through Thursday 11 AM to 10 PM, Friday and Saturday 11 AM to 11 PM, and Sunday 11 AM to 9 PM.

"We came to Colletta at Fenton to celebrate a family birthday. The waiter was kind to us even when we took long to decide what we all wanted. The pizza was very tasty!! Good flavor and a nice thin crust that was still chewy. After we had eaten the waitress brought us out a complimentary birthday dessert which was so special for our girl!! The outside dining area was clean open and had overhead fans!! The inside was adorable as well!"

"We dined at Colletta for the first time last night. Had a 5pm reservation, only waited a few minutes. Our server, Ariana was awesome. Very sweet and attentive. Our food was amazing. We started off with burrata. Our entrees were the spaghetti(with lobster and caviar) and the steak gillian. We shared a side of broccolini because it was actually enough for 2-3 people. We finished up with brûléed sweet potato torte to go. The food was absolutely delicious, the service was great and the ambience was really nice. We will definitely be back!!"

"I went here for my birthday a few weeks ago and the food was tasty! I started with the Bitter Italian drink, which was essentially an old fashion. It was good! We got a free sample of the Focaccia because the food was taking a little longer than usual. The bread is good, got a slight crunch to it, flavors were nice. If I’m being completely honest, I wouldn’t ord I went here for my birthday a few weeks ago and the food was tasty! I started with the Bitter Italian drink, which was essentially an old fashion. It was good! We got a free sample of the Focaccia because the food was taking a little longer than usual. The bread is good, got a slight crunch to it, flavors were nice, the honey infused butter though… was insanely good. I could put that on anything. If I’m being completely honest, I wouldn’t order it on my own free will, only because I’m too used to places giving out free bread as a starter and this place doesn’t, I like a little more substance to my appetizer also. Next time I’m there I’ll try something different. For my main course I got the Mafaldine. I usually like meat in my dish, this was a vegetarian dish though. But honestly, the noodle itself is now one of my favorites and all the ingredients just worked so well together, the mushrooms, charred scallions, sunchokes… it was spectacular and it was a very filling dish. Lastly we ended up with a few birthday desserts. We got the Salted Caramel Gelato, which melts in your mouth, the Tiramisu, which usually I am not a fan of, but this place does it in way with the flavors that blew my mind and then we also got the Peanut & Praline Chocolate Tart, which was good, a little heavy but still good. I have only been to a select few Italian restaurants since I moved here. This is in my top 3 for sure. And our server, I believe his name"

"The restaurant itself is beautiful and has a very calm, cozy vibe. We ordered pizza, pasta, steak, mussels, dessert, and drinks everything came out fresh and full of flavor. The steak was cooked perfectly and the pizza was probably my favorite. Service was great too, everyone was friendly and attentive without being too much. Definitely a nice spot for date nights or dinner with friends. Will be coming back for sure."

"I’d never been here before, and I didn’t even know this place existed until an hour before I went—but my time here has me still wanting to go back as soon as I can. I came to celebrate my 26th birthday with my family, have a lowkey night with some lowkey vibes and enjoy amazing food, and honestly, any expectations I had about Colletta were blown out of the water. From the moment I stepped in the door (they can take reservations btw), I was greeted by smiling faces wishing me a happy birthday and welcoming me in for the very first time. From there, my experience only got better. The girl who helped us—I feel awful for blanking on her name because she 1000% deserves recognition—was extremely personable and cracked jokes with my family and I throughout the night as we dined. She made us feel welcome, and almost like we were the only people in there. She helped us navigate the menu, offering her knowledge of it to provide recommendations and help us decide. I ended up getting the Chicken Parm over a bed of rigatoni and vodka sauce, and honestly I had forgotten to take a picture before I had absolutely annihilated half the pasta—it WAS indeed that good. Outside of the food, there was an ambient hum of conversation throughout the night that never rose to unreasonable levels, no matter how many people came through the door. It made for easy and light conversation without getting drowned out by normal restaurant noise for the entire time I was there. Now, I typically don’t write a whole lot of reviews, but Colletta and the people there offered me such an amazing experience that I just had to share it. Now I know that three things are for certain: Death, Taxes, and that I will be back here for 27😌"
